Those who have a lot to learn often cut back on sleep first – and by doing so, do exactly the wrong thing. Can you learn in your sleep?
Absorbing new knowledge – such as "feeding in" vocabulary via headphones – hardly works during sleep. What sleep can do excellently, however, is consolidate what has already been learned.
